Science Data Catalog

The USGS Science Data Catalog provides seamless access to USGS research and monitoring data from across the nation. Users have the ability to search, browse, or use a map-based interface to discover data.

Model Catalog

As an Earth science organization, the USGS develops and builds models for scientific analysis and computation. Information about these models exists in many different places across the bureau. The Model Catalog compiles and links the information in one place so that models are discoverable and reusable. The catalog will support and enable model use and integration.

Pennsylvania Groundwater Quality Monitoring Network Data Exploration Tool

USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center, in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, samples 28 wells biannually to monitor ambient groundwater quality conditions in a variety of settings throughout Pennsylvania. The most recent results for selected constituents can be accessed through the Groundwater Quality Monitoring Network Data Exploration Tool.

Unified Hazard Tool

Use this web application to obtain earthquake hazards data from the U.S. Hazard Model.

Global Vs30 Mosaic Map Viewer

Global Vs30 Mosaic Map Viewer based on topographic slope, with custom embedded maps for Vs30 (the time-averaged shear-wave velocity to 30 m depth) models and data.

U.S. Geological Survey COVID-19 Wastewater Surveillance

USGS, as part of the National Wastewater Surveillance System, designed and implemented high-frequency sampling of wastewater across six states throughout September 2021, to support tracking of potential increases in COVID-19 infections in communities. COVID-19 viral loads were determined for each sample with the goal of delivering results to the CDC within three days of sampling.

Hydrologic Imagery Visualization and Information System (HIVIS)

Many USGS water-resource monitoring sites have webcams installed to allow remote visibility of current water and environmental conditions, identify technical issues, verify remote measurements, and gather data for visual analyses. The Hydrologic Imagery Visualization and Information System (HIVIS) provides access to still-frame images and timelapse videos from our active webcams.

JACIE Search Tool

Annual Joint Agency Commercial Imagery Evaluation (JACIE) workshops engage federal agencies, their partners, and the commercial remote sensing industry to understand the characteristics and capabilities of current and new data sources, along with the quality of data they provide. This Tool allows the searching of presentations from the workshops, that started in 2001.
