Franciscan group in Coast Ranges and its equivalents in Sacramento Valley, California

The Franciscan group is an assemblage of detrital and chemical sedimentary and volcanic rocks that crops out discontinuously in a structurally complex, northwesterly trending belt along the Coast Ranges of Cahfornia.
