Interstitial water studies on small core samples, Deep Sea Drilling Project, Leg 6
Sediments from Leg 6 sites, west of the Hawaiian Islands, consisted primarily of various combinations of deep-sea biogenic oozes, volcanic ash, and its breakdown products.
