Sedimentation and land use in Core Creek and Elk Run basins, Pennsylvania, 1954-60 (A progress report)

Analyses of data collected from two small basins in northern Pennsylvania during the period May 1954-September 1960 indicated a general relationship between changes in land use and land treatment and changes in suspended-sediment discharge from the basins. Habitat use at night by wintering American woodcock in coastal Georgia and Virginia

Nocturnal habitats used by American woodcock (Scolopux minor) were studied using radio telemetry at two coastal wintering sites in Georgia (1982-84) and Virginia (1991-92). In Georgia, use of forested habitats at night was extensive while use of fields at night varied between years but generally was low.
