Assistant Unit Leader - Texas Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit
Clint joined the Texas Unit in 2000 where he serves as the Assistant Leader - Wildlife. Clint’s research addresses the applied management information needs of natural resource managers while also building on the basic understanding of species and systems. This requires adaptability within a research lab to be responsive in addressing a variety of changing information needs. His foundational research interest is conservation of avian species and communities in a changing landscape. However, he has also directed research on reptilian and mammalian species of conservation need, and across multiple ecoregions, including the Sonoran and Chihuahuan Deserts, Southern Great Plains, the Caribbean, and southern Rocky Mountains. Clint teaches a class on Raptor Ecology and Conservation, and has taught classes in Nongame Ecology, Tropical Ornithology, and Structured Decision Making.
Clint received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees from the University of Arizona, and conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Minnesota.
