Joshua (Josh) Miller
As Research Coordinator at the Great Lakes Science Center, I help ensure that our science remains responsive to current and future state, regional, Tribal, inter-regional, national, and bi-national priorities, as well as helping our workforce be engaged and prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.
I work in the Great Lakes Science Center’s (GLSC) director’s office and assists center leadership in the management and coordination of science activities, partnerships, and operations in response to partner priorities. I ensure alignment of our work with regional, bureau, national, and departmental priorities. I develop and lead high-level engagement with regional partners, USGS national programs, and other science centers and regions and help the center build and maintain strong and strategic partnerships. I serve as the point of contact for Tribal engagement at GLSC and advance employee engagement within the center.
I am passionate about strategic planning, developing effective processes and systems, and responding to emerging science needs. I champion the development and exercise of the diverse skills and abilities of others to address complex challenges and accomplish outcomes through effective and inspiring teamwork.
