Suspended Solids
Suspended solids are fine particles dispersed in water (often referred to as suspended sediment) or in air (air particulate matter). The NWQL provides some methods of analysis for organic and inorganic constituents on suspended solids in water either by measurement in a discrete (isolated) suspended solids matrix, or as part of an unfiltered water sample where the amount of constituent dissolved in the water and associated with the suspended solids is reported as a total water concentration.
