Detailed Description
Prior to Memo to All Banders, the Bird Banding Laboratory utilized Bird Banding Notes to communicate with banders between 1922 and 1966, issuing a total of 6 volumes. Volume 1 spanned from 1922-1930. Vol. 1 No. 9 of the Bird Banding Notes was released January 5, 1924. Subjects in this note are 1. General information to cooperators; 2. Stations; 3. Banding Rose-breasted Grosbeaks by P. Kuntz; 4. Bands; 5. Bait; 6. Traps (including barrel-hoop trap, tree trunk trap, and automatic device for drop traps); 7. Bird Banding Associations; and 8. Returns.
