2024 Treasure Valley Watershed Watch
Detailed Description
U.S. Geological Survey research hydrologist Tyler King helps students from Boise's Pierce Park Elementary School identify aquatic macroinvertebrates as part of the 2024 Watershed Watch educational outreach event along the Boise River in Boise, Idaho. Watershed Watch, sponsored by the City of Boise, pairs elementary school classes with water professionals for hands-on water-quality testing. Students learn to test the chemical, physical, and biological health of the Boise River and share their data with the public. The USGS Idaho Water Science Center is an annual event co-sponsor.
