Detailed Description

Lava in collapse pit on top of Amalgamated Bend shield along Mother's Day tube south of Pu`u `O`o. Lava is at shallower depth than it was on previous day (see images for July 23). Note that thin crust on lava pond has no large wrinkle on left-hand surface. 0815:52.
