Detailed Description

This Landsat-based animation depicts 33 years of landscape change in east-central North Dakota. The inset map comes from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's National Wetlands Inventory (NWI). Wetlands in this area of North Dakota have expanded widely since being mapped by the NWI in the 1970s.
