Bird locations (blue dots) at the Palmyra Atoll National Wildlife Refuge extracted from UAS acquired imagery

The USGS worked with the Palmyra Atoll cooperating scientists in November 2016 to evaluate the effectiveness of UAS data collection activities to support science related to lagoon flows, marine animal studies, vegetation, bird nesting areas, and underwater areas of interest.
