Detailed Description
A portion of central Chicago, as captured by the USDA National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) on Aug. 2, 2019. Chicago City Hall is located in the Cook County Building. The city planted vegetation on its half of the roof as part of ongoing efforts to mitigate urban heat, which can be trapped and held by impervious surfaces.
