Figure 8. An example of one of the CLaRe phenometrics mapped in SNP-East for 2011, 2012 and 2013. The CLaRe Phenometric displayed is the correlation between MODIS NDVI and ppt123, i.e., the cumulative precipitation for the three prior 8-day time periods. Notice that a high correlation coefficient indicates a greater probability of buffelgrass presence, as evidenced by the spatial coincidence of mapped buffelgrass patches with the higher image values.
