Coastal Change Likelihood

Detailed Description

Where are coastal landscapes likely to change? The USGS has developed a framework to address this question by combining knowledge of the landscape or FABRIC of the coast with potential HAZARDS to estimate areas likely to change in the near future, or the Coastal Change Likelihood (CCL).  This image shows the types of data and methodology that comprises the CCL.
