Detailed Description
A white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) with chronic wasting disease (CWD). CWD is a prion disease that affects deer, elk, reindeer, sika deer and moose. Symptoms include drastic weight loss (wasting), stumbling, listlessness and other neurologic symptoms.
