Detailed Description

This view is looking northeast from the Harpers Corner Overlook toward the erosionally dissected plateau cut by the Green River. Between the northern end of the park and the confluence with the Yampa River, the Green River flows through the Canyon of Lodore (named during the John Wesley Powell Expedition of 1869 [Powell, 1895]).
