HIF: QA testing a water-quality sonde

USGS Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility hydrologic technician performs quality assurance (QA) testing on a water-quality multi-parameter sonde received from the factory. When the sonde is deployed in rivers or streams, the collected information is communicated to USGS gaging station equipment to be retrieved either by satellite or downloaded at the station. QA testing verifies that the sonde collects and transmits water-quality measurements accurately.
