Detailed Description

This cutaway illustration shows a multilevel monitoring system that allows for sample collection from discreted depths in a monitoring well. Systems like the one shown here are used by the USGS Idaho Water Scinece Center's research team at the Idaho National Laboratory to monitor the eastern Snake River Plain aquifer.
