Intercepting a drifting Fish Aggregation Device off the coast of Palmyra’s sensitive coral reef ecosystem

Detailed Description
Partners from The Nature Conservancy (TNC) intercepting a drifting Fish Aggregation Device (dFAD) off the coast of Palmyra’s sensitive coral reef ecosystem. With the valued partnership of the commercial US Purse Seine fishing fleets, TNC is able to track any US dFADs around Palmyra and if they threaten to ground on the atoll, TNC can recover the dFAD to mitigate ecological damage.
