Lava breakouts continue on the coastal plain and on the delta

Detailed Description

Today (October 26) on Kīlauea's 61g coastal flow field, the closest mapped active surface flows were approximately 1.4 km (0.9 miles) from the emergency road. The breakouts at the flow front were mostly sluggish and spread out pāhoehoe toes, with a few larger breakouts that were short-lived. Many other areas of surface breakouts were also found further upslope, produced by the June 26 breakout, degassing to the right of the green kipuka on the pali.
