Detailed Description
Microscopic (length ~3 mm) adult snail in the Hydrobiidae family, with foot and antennae extended. Snail is crawling on the surface tension of a drop of water on a microscope slide. These snails, when found in sediments deposited decades or centuries ago, are indicators that freshwater currents were nearby.
