Placing ground control points in Lory State Park with Jason Stoker (USGS 3DEP).

In September 2023, the NUSO collected UAS lidar at parks in and nearby Fort Collins Colorado to test methods of validation for the EROS 3DEP Technology Research and Assessment task.   The data will be analyzed by the EROS calibration group to determine the accuracy, precision, and efficiency of UAS lidar compared to traditional terrestrial lidar surveying methods.
