Plants Vulnerability to Nitrogen Depends on Where They Grow

USGS scientists teamed up with researchers from multiple universities and agencies to test plants’ vulnerability to atmospheric nitrogen pollution from agriculture and other human activities. The team, pictured here, analyzed data from more than 15,000 sites across the continental United States.
