Detailed Description
The CRIM station is in the southern part of Kīlauea Volcano's summit caldera near the deflating summit magma reservoir. The station has subsided about 0.6 m (1.9 ft) since late April. The inset map shows the GPS station location on top of an interferogram from the European Space Agency's Sentinel satellite, which reflects the spatial distribution of the subsidence from May 8 to 11. Each color fringe represents about 5.5 cm (2.2 in) of subsidence.
