Detailed Description
Two scientists prepare to deploy a CTD (Conductivity-Temperature-Depth) sensor off the R/V Pelican. This device captures information about water column properties such as temperature, salinity, and chlorophyll (a proxy for primary production). This particular device can also collect water samples from specific depths of interest.
