USGS scientist Todd Burton flying a UAS at the Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park
The NUSO teamed with the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science Center in August 2019 to collect UAS light detection and ranging (LiDAR) and natural color imagery for developing an updated terrain model to address potential climate change impacts of water-level variability and identify flood hazard inundation zones.
