USGS scientist Joe Adams preparing a UAS for launch at the Palmyra Atoll National Wildlife Refuge

The USGS worked with the Palmyra Atoll cooperating scientists in November 2016 to evaluate the effectiveness of UAS data collection activities to support science related to lagoon flows, marine animal studies, vegetation, bird nesting areas, and underwater areas of interest.
