Walk the Devastation Trail on Kīlauea

Detailed Description
During the 1959 Kīlauea Iki eruption, cinder and spatter falling from high lava fountains devastated downwind forests and built a cone now called Pu‘u Pua‘i (background). The public is invited to participate in a guided walk through this area along Devastation Trail on Jan. 22. Photo courtesy of NPS.
