Lava Fountains Jet from Mount Etna, Sicily, Italy (Feb 23, 2021)

On the night of February 20-23, 2021 Mount Etna, on the Island of Sicily in Italy, erupted in a spectacular way. This video, taken from the town of Tremestieri Etneo to the south of Mount Etna, shows lava fountains jetting to more than 1,500 m (4,900 ft) above the volcano. Ash clouds billow around the fountains and occasionally puff from areas adjacent to the main vent.
