Hello! and welcome to National Digital Trails (NDT) Fall 2022 Newsletter. The last six months have been a busy time for the NDT team including meeting some of you at the Esri User Conference in July. We highlighted the project with a map display, hosted a special meeting called “Let’s Talk About Trails,” and finished up with the presentation “National Digital Trails Project - Past, Present, and Future.” Thank you to everyone who was able to attend! In addition, SAG (Special Achievement in GIS) recipients from the last two years were honored (see photo below). This project received the award in 2020. Thanks for representing the project, Tatyana!!
In November, we were excited to attend and provide a hands-on workshop for the Partnership for the National Trails System’s National Trails Workshop in Albuquerque. As well as learning more about the National Scenic, Historic, and Recreation Trails, we learned about the people and lands the trails pass through (see photo below). It was an amazing experience to meet folks in person and to feel the energy of the group.
