ARkStorm@Tahoe Exercise in Reno, NV

ARkStorm@Tahoe Emergency Response Exercise: Over the last two years, the Tahoe Science Consortium, together with USGS SAFRR, have convened a series of workshops with over 300 stakeholders and interested communities such as federal, state, and local agencies, tribal representatives, natural resource managers, non-governmental organizations, business leaders, and scientists to discuss the impacts of the ARkStorm scenario on the Tahoe Basin, Reno, Sparks, and Carson City, Nevada. The effort, called ARkStorm@Tahoe, will incorporate ARkStorm these threats into an emergency response exercise and planning in the region and to identify social and environmental vulnerabilities. The ARkStorm@Tahoe emergency response exercise will take place on March 14, 2014: 8:30-3:00 a the Washoe County Regional Emergency Operations Center, 5195 Spectrum Blvd, Reno, NV.
