TEN MILE WEST ROADLESS AREA, IDAHO.

A mineral survey of the Ten Mile West Roadless Area, Idaho disclosed the presence of a northwest-trending mineralized belt that extends completely across the area. The belt has probable resource potential and field evidence indicates that smaller parts of it have substantiated resource potential for one or more of the metals silver, gold, and molybdenum. Further studies and mineral exploration are needed to determine the extent and grade of these deposits. There is also an area of probable resource potential for gold, silver, and copper at the head of Chapman Creek in the northeast part of the area. The nature of the geologic terrain precludes the occurrence of oil and gas or coal resources.
