Earthquake monitoring in the Delta and more generally in California is a partnership among Federal, State, and university agencies, including USGS.

These efforts are coordinated through the California Integrated Seismic Network (CISN). CISN serves the public by providing the emergency response, engineering, and scientific communities with reliable monitoring and continuous reporting of all significant earthquake activity in California, including location and magnitude, maps of strong ground shaking, and strong-motion records of engineering interest.
