Alex Butcher

Prior to working with the AZWSC, Alex worked with the New England Water Science Center, where his primary duties lay within the collaborative project between the USGS and FEMA.  The project involved collecting data and floodplain mapping via surveying and the use of GIS. Before joining the USGS, he spent two years living in Washington State gaining experience in the fisheries industry and with water quality monitoring through work with the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife and with a local conservation commission.
