Corinne Bowers, PhD

(She/her)

Dr. Corinne Bowers (she/her) is a Mendenhall Fellow and Research Physical Scientist in the Integrated Modeling and Prediction Division of the Water Resources Mission Area. She is based in Richmond, VA.

Corinne specializes in the probabilistic analysis of hydrologic extreme events, such as floods and droughts, and how the trends, drivers, and impacts of these extreme events will change in the future. She started her current role as a Mendenhall postdoctoral fellow in October 2023 and is currently working to quantify drought risk in the Delaware River Basin in support of integrated water availability assessments. Prior to joining the USGS, Corinne completed her PhD at Stanford University, where her research focused on the damage and impacts associated with flooding driven by atmospheric rivers in California.
