David Ahumada
David Ahumada is a Physical Scientist, Pathways Recent Graduate with the USGS National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program (NCGMP).
David earned his B.S. in Geoscience from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2020 and his M.S. in Geology from the University of Connecticut in 2022. He began working with the USGS as a contractor in 2022 and joined the USGS NCGMP staff in his current role in 2024. David's work with the USGS has focused on assisting with the refinement of guidelines related to the submission of Geologic Map Schema (GeMS) compliant data packages to the NCGMP and the National Geologic Map Database (NGMDB), as well as the quality-checking of GeMS packages.
