Growing up in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York, my love for the outdoors was nurtured from a young age; backpacking, skiing, biking and running through the woods were my favorite pastimes, all the while identifying as many plants, birds and amphibians as I could spot. Now, I still love all of those activities, and usually spend my weekends rock climbing, trail running, hiking and looking at trees. When I'm indoors, I love to cook, bake, read and knit.
