Laura Castro Lindarte

Laura Castro Lindarte is the Senior Specialist for Media Operations for the Office of Communications and Publishing. 

Laura’s primary duties include playing a key role coordinating media tracking, clearing, editorial planning, and maintaining documentation of public affairs guidance. She also serves as the lead for the public affairs officer for the Office of International Programs, Office of Tribal Engagement, and Technology Transfer programs.

Laura joined the USGS Office of Communications and Publishing in 2024 after serving as a Public Affairs specialist in the U.S. Small Business Administration for almost three years. Prior to that, Laura worked as a full-time journalist.
