World minerals outlook to 2029—Cobalt, gallium, helium, lithium, magnesium, palladium, platinum, and titanium data

March 11, 2025
Given the rapid expansion in the demand for mineral commodities that underpin worldwide economic growth and technological advancement, information regarding expected country-level mine production and production capacity is becoming increasingly important. In particular, production capacity can limit future supply, depending on how rapidly that capacity is able to expand. This World Minerals Outlook data release provides estimated capacities for cobalt, gallium, helium, lithium, magnesium, palladium, platinum, and titanium for 2024 through 2029. Production data from 2018 to 2024 are also provided and show the current and historical capacity utilization levels for these commodities.
