The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD) is a national hydrologic unit (HU) geospatial dataset that defines surface drainage areas for the United States. This dataset provides a foundation for local, regional, and national applications to manage, archive, exchange, and analyze data by HU.

The HydroAdd tool is a web application built by USGS that allows collaborative addressing (or linear referencing) of diverse datasets to the NHD. HydroAdd also provides tools that allow users to migrate datasets that have been previously addressed to the NHD.

In this lesson, we will provide an overview and demonstrate how to use The National Map’s web services in a mapping application. Although downloading data from The National Map is a popular option for many users, there are numerous situations where it may be preferable to simply call TNM web services into your mapping application.

This short presentation will illustrate how detailed topographic-bathymetric LiDAR data sets can be used within the USGS iRIC software package to compute detailed flow and particle tracking simulations across a range of length and time scales, including capturing the effects of local unsteadiness and turbulent mixing.

This lesson will cover Stream Flow Estimates in NHDPlus High Resolution. Enhanced Runoff Method, or EROM is the method used to compute estimates of the mean annual flow for the NHDPlus flowline features in the NHDPlus HR network.
