Field and simulated data to construct hypervolumes of coastal wetland plant states for resilience quantification, Louisiana, USA (2016-2017)

These datasets provide: 1) field-collected biomass and structural attributes for coastal salt marsh in the Port Fourchon area, Louisiana; 2) simulated biomass and structural attributes along flooding gradients using mixed model regression outputs; and 3) resilience metrics calculated using multivariate hypervolumes along with potential environmental covariates of resilience metrics.

Mark-recapture data for a boreal toad metapopulation at the Lost Trail National Wildlife Refuge, Montana (2003-2018)

From 2003-2018, USGS researchers and collaborators conducted mark-recapture studies of the boreal toad at the Lost Trail National Wildlife Refuge in northwestern Montana, USA. The datasets included here contain information on individual toad capture history, body size, and disease status. These data were collected annually over the 16-year period at up to 11 breeding sites per year on the refuge.

Environmental DNA (eDNA) and Fish Capture Data from Round Goby Screening Surveys on the Eastern Erie Canal, New York (ver. 2.0, May 2024)

he dataset is composed of four tables containing data collected during screening surveys for invasive Round Goby (Neogobius melanostomus) at 12 sites on the Eastern Erie Canal in New York between Oneida Lake and the Hudson River from 2016 to 2023. The sampling techniques and frequency of sampling were adapted over time to optimize the efficiency of the study effort. From 2016-2019 eDNA water sampl

Near-surface geophysical data collected in the Sunflower Drain study area near Delta, Colorado, March 2018

Near-surface geophysical surveys were conducted during March 2018 in an irrigated agricultural drainage near Delta, Colorado, locally know as Sunflower Drain. This data release presents results of two surveys, one using fiber-optic distributed temperature sensing (FO-DTS) and the second using a horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio (HVSR) passive seismic method. For the FO-DTS, a temperature sensi

Volatile organic compound and metal concentrations associated with field sampling and laboratory experiments and in situ microcosm results, wetland bioremediation study, Standard Chlorine of Delaware, Inc. Superfund site, New Castle County, Delaware, 2015

This dataset presents analytical results for laboratory and field tests conducted during 201519 as part of a bioremediation study in the wetland study area at Standard Chlorine of Delaware, Inc. Superfund site. Included in the dataset are (1) volatile organic compound and metal concentrations from field sampling in the wetland area, (2) results from in situ microcosms in the reactive barriers and

Hyperspectral Characterization of Common Cyanobacteria Associated with Harmful Algal Blooms (ver. 2.0, October 2020)

This dataset is a collection of hyperspectral imagery profiles of 13 common algae associated with Harmful Algae Blooms (HAB). Data were retrieved from a hyperspectral microscope at, and with the cooperation of, the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Samples were collected from USGS water quality sampling efforts, and were also purchased from commercial vendors of biological materials

Tributary sand input data, Colorado River, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

These data were compiled from sampling pre-dam flood terraces and sand bar deposits of the Colorado River in Glen Canyon between Glen Canyon Dam and the Paria River confluence. This includes sand deposits from the 2008, 2012, 2013 and 2014 high flow experiments (HFE) in Marble Canyon. Sand sources from these locations were sampled in September/October of 2013 and 2014. Also, samples of suspended s

State-and-Transition Simulation Models of Buffelgrass in Saguaro National Park (2014-2044) to explore ecological uncertainties

This is a spatially-explicit state-and-transition simulation model of buffelgrass dynamics in Saguaro National Park, AZ. Buffelgrass is an invasive grass spreading in the park. The model represents uninvaded and invaded parts of the desert ecosystem and includes a connection to a fire behavior model. The model was built using the ST-Sim software platform linked to the FARSITE fire behavior model.

Hetero- and conspecifics effects on nest and chick survival for two listed species; piping plover and least tern breeding on the Missouri River, USA 2007-2016

We present two tabular digital data files representing values related how the presence of hetero- and conspecifics influence nest and chick survival for two listed migratory species breeding on the Missouri River; piping plover (Charadrius melodus) and least tern (Sternula antillarum). We followed 2,507 piping plover nests, 3,251 uniquely banded piping plover chicks, 1,060 least tern nests, and 1,

Environmental DNA surveillance data for USGS streamgage sampling in the Columbia River Basin, 2018

Environmental DNA quantitative PCR results for water samples collected in 2018 at USGS streamgages downstream of Columbia River Basin reservoirs that are considered to have moderate to high suitability for invasive dreissenid mussels. Water samples were tested for DNA of dreissenid mussels, kokanee salmon, and yellow perch. This is version 1.1 of this data release. The Kokanee_Perch_eDNA data an

Bathymetric data for St. Croix River at outlet to East Grand Lake and Forest City Dam Survey, United States-Canadian border between Maine and New Brunswick

These are survey data for the Forest City Dam at the Outlet to East Grand Lake on the St. Croix River between Maine and Canada. And they are bathymetric data surrounding the outlet dam collected with an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP)

Hakalau Forest NWR Litterfall, Decomposition, Soils, and Seedling Survival Data 2019

This data release includes data and metadata on litterfall rates, foliar nitrogen and carbon, grass biomass, soil nitrogen and carbon, and native outplant survival rates for an experiment that added large quantities of woody litter to a restoration forest in an attempt to lower soil nitrogen and exotic grass biomass. All sites were within Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge on Hawaii Island. B
