Collecting soil cores for a SageSTEP carbon budget study
Detailed Description
This auger is used to collect 1 meter deep soil cores for a carbon budget study associated with the SageSTEP project. SageSTEP is a long-term, multi-disciplinary experiment evaluating sagebrush restoration methods in the Great Basin. SageSTEP team members include scientists from the USGS, USFS, USDA-ARS, Oregon State, Utah State, Brigham Young, and the Univeristies of Idaho, Oregon, and Nevada. Study sites are located in six states: California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washinton.
