Detailed Description
Mean (dots) and 95% Bayesian credible intervals (whiskers) of parameter estimates predicting pinyon jay (Gymnorhinus cyanocephalus) abundance within suitable geographic limits across portions of 13 states and 7 Bird Conservation Regions in the United States; 2008–2020. Positive Beta Estimates signify a positive relationship between pinyon jay abundance and the corresponding parameter, negative Beta Estimates signify a negative relationship between pinyon jay abundance and the corresponding parameter, and Beta Estimates in grey (near zero) signify no relationship between pinyon jay abundance and the corresponding paramter. Parameters with (^2) represent quadratic terms of each covariate. Parameter estimates with credible intervals overlapping zero are shown in light gray. NDVI stands for Normalized Difference Vegetation Index, a measure of vegetation health and density.
