Researchers rappel down the edge of a 275 dry waterfall in search of the Endangered desert slender salamander that has not been seen in 30 years, since research ecologist Todd Esque studied their habitat requirements in 1984. The search continues for this rare amphibian that inhabits an oasis in a harsh desert climate.
