Detailed Description

The USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center maintains the largest civilian collection of images of the Earth’s land surface. At EROS we study land change and produce land change data products used by researchers, resource managers, and policy makers across the nation and around the world. The EROS User Services team provides assistance and outreach to help users in the data community access and work with data distributed from EROS. As part of the outreach effort, the EROS User Services team provides a webinar series where we talk to staff at EROS to learn more about the data, tools, and services coming out of the USGS EROS. This YouTube video is a recording of a previous webinar entitled: “The EROS User Experience Webinar Series Presents: The New and Improved Bulk Download Web Application (BDWA)”. This webinar was recorded on April 18, 2023.

Recently released, the USGS Bulk Download Web Application (BDWA) replaces the Bulk Download Application (BDA) and functions natively within web browsers, unlike the previous stand-alone version.  The BDWA can be used for downloading bulk data orders from various tools. This webinar reviewed the changes and improvements of the BDWA and showed users how to use the BDWA to download Landsat data. We covered basic uses of the BDWA, as well as more advanced features, that include exporting a scene list from EE as a CSV file and then importing the list directly to the BDWA.
