National and South Central CASC researchers contributed to the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies’ report on "Advancing the National Fish, Wildlife, and Plants Climate Adaptation Strategy into a New Decade". 

The Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA) has announced the release of the new report Advancing the National Fish, Wildlife, and Plants Climate Adaptation Strategy into a New Decade. This is an update on the 2012 Strategy which was designed to enable natural resource managers to take effective steps towards climate adaptation. The new report presents an update of the science and practice, with a special section on Indigenous Knowledge systems, demonstrates implementation progress, and includes recommendations for the future. Researchers from the National and South Central CASCs contributed to the report.  

webinar reviewing the report will take place on Wednesday March 31 at 1pm ET. It will cover how climate science and the practice of adaptation changed since the Strategy was first published, whether natural resource plans been influenced by Strategy goals, and what's next for the Strategy looking into the future.
