Hydrologic Derivatives for Modeling and Applications (HDMA) Data

The Hydrologic Derivatives for Modeling and Analysis (HDMA) database provides comprehensive and consistent global coverage of raster and vector topographically derived layers. The HDMA includes five raster layers: digital elevation model (DEM) data, flow direction, flow accumulation, slope, and compound topographic index (CTI); and three vector layers: streams, catchment boundaries, and processing

Correlation Between Seismic-Reflection Profiles and Well Data, Broward County, FL

Synthetic seismograms provide a means to calibrate (groundtruth) seismic-reflection profiles to specific subsurface stratigraphic events observed in one-dimensional core and geophysical log data acquired from wells. Independently, Walker Marine Geophysical Company and Geokinetics Incorporated used velocity data from 13 borehole-compensated sonic logs as input for specialized geophysical software t

Shapefile of sampling sites for the assessment of groundwater quality at selected wells throughout Puerto Rico, December 2015 to November 2016

This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release consists of a point shapefile with the location of the sites used in sampling program to assess the water quality at selected wells throughout Puerto Rico conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the Puerto Rico Environmental Quality Board (PREQB) during December 2015 to November 2016.

Condition of Surgical Acoustic Tag Incisions in Recaptured Lake Erie Walleye (2011-2016)

Intracoelomic implantation of electronic tags has become a common method in fishery research, but rarely are fish examined by scientists after release to understand the extent that surgical incisions have healed. Walleye (Sander vitreus) are a valuable, highly-exploited fishery resource in the Laurentian Great Lakes. Here, fishery capture of walleye with internal acoustic transmitters combined wit

Principal facts of gravity data in the southern San Luis Basin, northern New Mexico

Gravity data were collected from 2006 through 2015 to assist in mapping subsurface geology in the southern San Luis Basin, northern New Mexico. This report gives principal facts for 567 new gravity stations that were acquired to fill in gaps in the public gravity data coverage.

Water level measurements collected in West Falmouth Harbor, MA, 2017

Water-level gauges were deployed at two sites in West Falmouth Harbor between April and June 2017. One gauge was mounted under the town-owned West Falmouth boat dock and the other on the private Associates dock near the mouth of the Harbor. The gauge at Associates dock supported two pressure sensors mounted in a stilling well to damp wave motions. The stilling wells were 4-inch diameter PVC tubes

Natural infections with Pigeon Paramyxovirus-1: Pathologic changes in Eurasian collared-doves (Streptopelia decaocto) and rock pigeons (Columba livia) in the USA: Data

We reviewed pathological findings and to a lesser extent epidemiological data from 70 free-ranging columbiforms naturally infected with Pigeon paramyxovirus-1 (PPMV-1) from 25 different PPMV-1 mortality events in columbiforms in the USA. In a subset of 17 birds from 10 of the studied outbreaks, we carried out immunohistochemistry targeting PPMV-1 nucleoprotein to determine the tissue distribution

Minisparker seismic-reflection data collected between Point Sur and Morro Bay, offshore of central California, from 2011-09-12 to 2011-09-26 (USGS field activity B-05-11-CC)

This data release includes marine geophysical data collected on cruise B-05-11-CC between Point Sur and Morro Bay, California. The overall goal of this research is to understand the shallow geologic framework of this area as a contribution to the California Seafloor Mapping Program (Johnson and others, 2017). Particular focus is on mapping active faults and documenting the distribution and thickne

MODFLOW grid for simulations used to evaluate the potential effect of Lower Floridan aquifer groundwater pumpage on the Upper Floridan aquifer at Barbour Pointe community in Chatham County, Georgia

A revised regional groundwater-flow model using a modified grid in conjunction with USGS MODFLOW-2000 was developed to the predict the effects of Lower Floridan aquifer (LFA) groundwater pumpage on the Upper Floridan aquifer (UFA) in the Barbour Pointe community, Chatham County, Georgia. The model was modified using hydrogeologic information obtained from field investigations at Barbour Pointe, Be

Coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) Genetic Data, Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska (1994-1999)

These are genetic data collected from over 700 individual coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) from 17 streams and rivers within Glacier Bay Alaska and 2 rivers outside the bay. Data collected from all samples include one nuclear gene intron, Growth Hormone-1, and eight microsatellite loci.

Avian abundance and oak mistletoe survey data from the Willamette Valley, Oregon, 2013-2015

This dataset includes two spreadsheets: The "Avian_abundance_oak_mistletoe_bird_data" spreadsheet contains data regarding Oregon White Oak tree (Quercus garryana) measurements such as height, diameter and crown volume along with microhabitat data including number of mistletoe infections, number of cavities, amount of dead wood, amount of loose/missing bark, amount of poison oak, amount of bole cra

Cross Section Data and Pressure Transducer Location of the South Platter River near Fort Morgan, Colorado, 2017

The USGS Colorado Water Science Center, in cooperation with the Colorado Water Conservation Board, collected hydraulic data for the South Platte River for areas adjacent to Fort Morgan, Colo., based on the USGS streamgage 06759500 South Platte River at Fort Morgan, CO. The hydraulic data include survey point data for 54 cross sections and 10 pressure transducers, which are used to record the river
