Interannual Breeding Movements of Brown Pelicans in the South Atlantic Bight

This dataset contains locations acquired from GPS-tagged Brown Pelicans in the South Atlantic Bight. Locations correspond to the movements of pelicans tracked for greater than 1 reproductive attempt, and include only locations from May - July of each year, with the goal of identifying likely nest locations using GPS data.

Seed germination requirements and seed responses to salinity for three rare wetland plants of spring-fed arid systems at Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge near Roswell, New Mexico 2018-2020

Data includes seed germination experiments observations from seeds collected during the fall of 2018 and 2020 at Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge, near Roswell, New Mexico. Seeds of Cirsium wrightii, Agalinis calycina, and Helianthus paradoxus were collected by manually clipping seed heads from plants across the wetland management units. Seeds were placed in brown paper bags and transported to

Data and Regression Models for Suspended Sediment, Total Nitrogen, and Total Phosphorus for School Branch at CR750N at Brownsburg, Indiana, June 23, 2015 to February 6, 2019

The primary data sets consist of continuous water-quality data (temperature, specific conductance, pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, nitrate plus nitrite, and streamflow) from in-situ equipment, and discrete water-quality samples (total nitrogen, total phosphorus, suspended sediment concentration, and suspended sediment sieve diameter) collected during site visits at the USGS streamgage School Bran

Data on Zerene silverspot butterfly and early blue violet responses to herbicide treatments from 2018-2019 greenhouse experiments

Herbicide treatments were applied to Zerene silverspot (Speyeria = Argynnis zerene zerene) post-diapause larvae and early blue violets (Viola adunca), the larval host plant of the Zerene silverspot butterfly, in two greenhouse experiments in 2018-2019. Treatments included distilled water for untreated (U), Agri-Dex (A), Nu Film IR (N), clopyralid (C), clopyralid with Agri-Dex (CA), clopyralid with

Fish movement and colonization in the Wyoming Range 2018-2019

Fish colonization ability may be one factor affecting population resilience after disturbance. We conducted displacement experiments in headwater streams in Wyoming, U.S.A. to evaluate mottled sculpin (Cottus bairdii) and mountain sucker (Catostomus platyrhynchus) colonization ability. Specifically, we (1) determined if fish could colonize sites rapidly after displacement, (2) evaluated site-level

Bat Detector Type Comparison Data from Fort Knox, Kentucky

These data are night level totals of bat calls by species and phonic group recorded at Fort Knox, Kentucky during the summer of 2017. Data contain recordings from zero-crossing frequency division and full spectrum receiving units.

Acoustic Parameters Collected in an Anechoic Chamber

Synthetic bat call parameters recorded in an anecolic chamber using full spectrum receivers. Data were then converted to zero-crossing format to measure parameters such as minimum, average and maximum frequency, number of echoes and number of correctly identified files

Salinity-temperature Interactions on Freshwater Fish Physiology (2015-2018)

This data release supports the manuscript entitled "Warmer temperatures interact with salinity to weaken physiological facilitation to stress in freshwater fishes", and includes one data set with values representing the physiological responses of freshwater fishes to salinity and temperature gradients in field surveys from the Wyoming Range (2015 to 2017) and laboratory experiments (2017-2018).

Average well color development data for water samples from six locations within the historic section of Mammoth Cave National Park, Kentucky

Water samples were collected from six cave locations where Actinobacterial mats appeared to be plentiful. Community-level physiological capabilities were evaluated using Biolog-Ecolog plates inoculated with cave water dosed with 0 or 0.10 milligrams per liter (mg/L) of erythromycin. The data were transformed into average well color development (AWCD). The transformation is done by subtracting the

At-sea movements of Masked Boobies from Pedro Cays, Jamaica, 2012

As part of a larger effort to examine individual-based movement patterns and habitat use at sea for seabirds in the Caribbean, a tracking study of Masked Boobies (Sula dactylatra) breeding on the Pedro Cays, Jamaica, was implemeted in 2012. This population is one of the largest of the few breeding groups in the region. The Masked Booby is considered to be declining and regionally-threatened with c

All available data for Sergeant et al. 2020, A classification of streamflow patterns across the coastal Gulf of Alaska

This .zip file contains four products that will allow users to recreate the analyses and spatial data figures used in Sergeant et al. 2020, A classification of streamflow patterns across the coastal Gulf of Alaska: 1) Autoclass input and output files (provided as folders with multiple simple text files), 2) Classification data (.csv file) for individual watersheds, including Fundamental Daily Stre

Ungulate Migrations of the Western United States, Volume 1

This is the data archive for the publication Ungulate Migrations of the Western United States, Volume 1 (Kauffman et al. 2020) and includes the collection of GIS map files that are mapped and described in the report. These map files are meant to provide a common spatial representation of the mapped migrations. This data release provides the means for ungulate migrations to be mapped and planned fo
