Carbonate rocks of Cambrian and Ordovician age in the Lancaster quadrangle, Pennsylvania

Detailed mapping has shown that the carbonate rocks of Cambrian and Ordovician age in the Lancaster quadrangle, Pennsylvania, can be divided into 14 rock-stratigraphic units. These units are defined primarily by their relative proportions of limestone and dolomite. The oldest units, the Vintage, Kinzers, and Ledger Formations of Cambrian age, and the Conestoga Limestone of Ordovician age are retai

Home range and travels

The concept of home range was expressed by Seton (1909) in the term 'home region,' which Burr (1940, 1943) clarified with a definition of home range and exemplified in a definitive study of Peromyscus in the field. Chemical Composition of Ectoprocta (Bryozoa)

Published data on the elemental composition of the Ectoprocta (Bryozoa) are supplemented by new chemical analyses of 28 ectoproct samples, distributed among 13 species, for organic matter, CO2 calcium, magnesium, strontium, barium, phosphorus and iron. The new data, in addition to the 25 fairly complete analyses previously published (distributed among 19 other species) suggest the existence of 3 s
